You've got yourself an iPhone, and as nice as it is to look at, you've decided it looks like every other iPhone out there and would like to make it a little more unique.

You wouldn't want to do anything too extreme, or permanent, like painting your iPhone. But you can give it a cool new look with cell phone skins, or in this case, iPhone skins.

An iPhone skin is a vinyl sticker that goes through a special process to provide months of wear, going through the rigors of daily life and keeping your iPhone free of scratches and scrapes. They are completely removable, should you ever wish to return to your factory finish, and the skin leaves no residues.

The great thing about an iPhone skins is it also gives your iPhone a little more personality, and tell others a bit about you. That really depends on what you choose as far as the images for your iPhone skins are concerned, but you can show your love, support, or admiration for things like music, movies, celebrities, or even a cause you believe in.

But the best thing about iPhone skins is they put you in creative control. Because you can design your own cell phone skins for your iPhone, you can express yourself and can share with others that know you.

While some of the obvious skins might include sports teams or animal skin prints, you can also design something easily in Photoshop using some pre-made brushes too! The results can look very professional. And if you are really ambitious, you can make a matching skin for your laptop!

When creating iPhone skins, keep in mind that you should use 200 dpi for resolution, and if you plan to use any images, they should be high resolution images of probably 300 Kb file size or higher, depending on their actually dimensions.

When looking for ideas to use for skins, desktop wallpaper websites can be a good place to start. There are numerous places online, and the biggest challenge might be deciding what it is that you want to design
